Camping
Our wedding and all of the wedding raising activities will be at the Riverstone Retreat Centre in Grey County, Ontario (there’s no website for the centre, so don’t bother looking). The retreat centre has a large campground overlooking the beautiful Saugeen River. There are bathrooms a-plenty and even four electrical hookups for anyone who wants to bring a camper.
If you don’t have a tent, but would like to camp we can rent one for you. We can rent tents for $45 for the weekend, sleeping bags for $30 for the weekend, and sleeping pads for $12 for the weekend. If you want to rent, please let us know at least 2 weeks ahead of time.
Also, if you have or need extra camping equipment please let people know in the comments field below and perhaps we can avoid extra costs using what we already have.
Motels/Inns
If you’d rather not get so close to the great outdoors there are several hotels and bed and breakfasts in the area. The Travellers Inn in Hanover is the nearest and nicest hotel nearby. We’ve reserved 20 rooms there. If you’d like to stay there, please book before May 26th and let them know you’re with the Al-Nuaimy-Barker party. Rooms are $83 for one queen bed, $93 for two double beds, and $150 for a suite.
The Varney Inn Motel in Varney is actually the motel nearest to the wedding activities and is even more affordable than the Travellers Inn. It’s also quite rustic as motels go.

Can the resort arrange to deliver a camper for the weekend ? Any idea of costs ?

These is indeed a trailer rental company. I contacted them about this event, and here’s what they said:
Hello Mo
I have worked up some information for you. If you have any questions, please let me know. We would propose to deliver any units on the 24th so they are there and set up prior to your guests arrival. We would set up a time to meet with your guests the next day to be sure they know how things function. Pick up would be the morning of the 28th so as not to interfere with there last day. Your guests would arrange their campsite with you and you would let us know where the units go. There is a reservation deposit of $250.00 per unit by Visa or MC required at time of booking. We are booking for that time of year, so anyone wishing to book should do so as soon as possible.
We will deal with your clients for the rental and booking. We work closely with an Equine group every summer for horse events and are quite used to this.
The prices include, dates required, delivery, set up, kitchen pack, pick up, fuel and propane. Taxes are extra. The only extra would be if they used the generator or caused damage.
Versatile 19’ B Class $650.00. sleeps 2 very little storage.Ultrasport 29’ C Class $700.00. sleeps 8 older unit but in good shape.
