Location
The location of our wedding raising is the beautiful Riverstone Retreat Centre located about 180km north west of Toronto in Grey County, Ontario. Ernie and Edith, the owners, have created a place that is perfect for a weekend like the one that we are going to enjoy with you. There are beautiful trails running throughout the forested estate as well as a little stone labyrinth (where we will hold the ceremony if it’s not raining). The Saugeen River flows along the property and has two ‘pools’ perfect for splashing around in, so please bring your bathing suit! There is a beach volleyball court and a large sandbox for the kids. The fish in the river aren’t so plentiful, but if you’re truly optimistic, you can bring your fishing line and perhaps catch a brown trout or two. There’s also a horseshoe pitch and horseshoes.

Car Pooling
As there really is no other way to get to Riverstone than by car, we encourage you to carpool. Please use the comment field below to let our other guests know if you’ve got extra space in your vehicle going to or from the retreat centre or if you are looking for a ride. Everyone who’s coming are our favorite people, so you can rest assured that you’ll enjoy the ride together.
Carbon Offsets
We would love for our wedding to be as planet friendly as possible. If you have the means and the interest, we encourage you to buy carbon credits to offset the planetary costs of your journey to join us. We recommend carbonzero.

Bonjour! I am coming from Ottawa and I would like to attend the party for as long as possible, my travel times are flexible. I can make my own way to Toronto if needed, probably on the train.
In exchange for car snacks and delightful company I would like please:
- a ride from Ottawa or Toronto TO Riverstone on Friday
- a ride FROM Riverstone to either Toronto or Ottawa on Monday

I was quite sad for a while there because I thought I was going to be unavoidably out of town for your lovely wedding raising, but I’ve managed to rearrange it all and am now happy to (finally, belatedly) RSVP.
The only remaining obstacle is transport – I don’t drive. I’d be coming from Toronto and can leave flexibly anytime from Friday after work onward (or Saturday, or whenever), and will probably have to be back for work Monday morning, so a Sunday-eve departure would be swell.
I’d like to be there for the maximum amount of time I can, if carpool options allow. If anyone has a spot, let me know!

Hello!
I don’t have a car and would love to hitch a ride someone who is driving up. I’m happy to contribute towards the cost of gas as well.
I have yet to finalize my schedule but I’m flexible in terms of getting there. I’d like to leave on Friday but can do Saturday. As for the return, I’d like to leave on Monday.

I am planning to go up on Saturday morning from Toronto and return on Sunday via rental car – would absolutely love to carpool to share the cost and meet some of my fellow weddingraising guests.
I haven’t booked the vehicle yet, so I’m totally flexible to get something big (ex – a mini van) if there’s demand for that.
Please let me know soon though, as I suspect that cars will be renting for a premium that weekend because of the G20.

Hi,
I’d love to share a ride (and expenses)with anyone driving up on Saturday and returning Sunday. Alternatively, I’d be interested in renting a car together, if someone could do most of the driving (I’m 7 months pregnant and long-distance driving is uncomfortable.)
